Converted đ Praise be to this new Gorgias feature
No divine intervention here, just a brand marketer who felt compelled to rave about a new product from Gorgias.
Most of you would primarily know Gorgias as a website chat app. Great from a customer service perspective, but not the most exciting thing from a brand marketing perspective. Well, Gorgias Convert just changed that.
What is it?
Gorgias Convert allows you to create personalised on site interactions or âconversationsâ with your audience. These will appear in the same style as a regular message from a customer service agent via Gorgias.
After a quick install, youâll be able to create campaigns, where you specify which pages youâd like the conversation to appear on, select parameters such as time spent on page, number of visits and exit intent, then add the content & visuals. Hereâs how it might look.
Having these prompts appear through the Gorgias app creates a level of familiarity and trust that you wonât get with other website popups. You can even style the message to give it the appearance of being sent from one of your customer service agents, or just have it sent from your brand name if thatâs more of your vibe.
The low hanging fruit here is obviously using Convert to offer timely discounts, free shipping or cross sells, which are all super valid ecom strategies. But as a huge advocate for customer education, I like to envision the benefits of Convert going beyond coupon codes.
For brands like Tushy or SKDA who sell products that require hefty amounts of customer education, familiarisation and confidence-building, Convert allows you to deliver that insight in a non-intrusive, authentic and targeted way.
When you sell bidets, thereâs fair chance your customers are going to have a few questions. Thatâs why sustainable bidet brand Tushy uses Gorgias Convert to link to install guides, relevant blog posts and social proof to ensure their website visitors arenât getting flushed away due to lack of product education or confidence.
In addition to free shipping thresholds and delivery times, moto graphics brand SKDA are also using Gorgias Convert to offer new visitors education on what sticker materials they use, how to install them and insights into their order process, whenever those first-time visitors arrive on the relevant pages.
And thatâs about all there is to it. Convert also offers tracking and analytics, and you can create as many unique campaigns on your site as youâd like, but overall itâs a fairly simple product. But that level of accessibility is another reason I love it, and why Iâm excited to see how brands of all shapes & sizes embrace a more conversational approach to ecommerce.
